i have a sprint blackberry 8530 that needs service, i bought it brand new on ebay, used it for 2 weeks and then one day it would not turn on at all, there was no water damage to the phone

Do you at least get the charging light when you plug it in? If not, chances are there is an issue with you charging port. Look if the pins are misaligned or broken. If so, the port needs to be soldered.
