I have a Motorola Droid in need of repair. It was dropped and the
screen is cracked. The phone works fine but I would like to have the
cracked screen replaced. It sounds like it's possible to do this repair correct?

I was going to ask if it is the lcd screen (image) that is cracked or the front glass (touch panel/digitizer). At the end of the day the repair is very similar. It's possible, but requires almost full disassembly of the phone. There is a guide Droid Repair Guide that shows you how to take it apart. The parts are on ebay or you can follow the links posted in the guide. If you don't want to do it yourself, just google 'droid repair" there are third party services that do it for you. First of all, try Verizon, they may give you a refurb replacement or a new phone for little money if you have insurance.
