This issue can be caused by parts of the shield moving around internally and touching components on the logic board. At this point you have nothing to lose so I would recommend opening it and removing the Aluminum shielding you find under the logic board. If you get the power LCD to blink for a short time, the issue goes beyond a a simple software repair, so opening it is inevitable.
