soldering small 6 pin flat cable direct 2 starter board help

I really need some advice and confidence regarding soldering a flat cable to a starter board for an ACER 5000 series notebook 5532 i believe I did a routine repair without consulting any TSBs and sure enough first thing it said "don't remove starter board" ideas? help?
