Read this website's Legal Guidelines and make sure you understand the risks of this repair. Place your Apple iPhone 4G on a clean flat and soft surface, such as a rubber mat or a piece of soft cloth and get the required phillips iphone 4 tools phillips or iphone 4 5-Star Screwdriver.
Once you have identified the right tool for the screws and obtained the tool, turn your Apple iPhone 4G foce down and remove the 2 screws next to the dock connector. When the screws are loose, the backplate should already be a little loose. You can flip the iPhone 4G back cover upward and set it aside.
Please note that these screws are phillips on the older version and pentacle screws on the newer version. The latter version requires a special iPhone 4 pentacle screwdriver.
