Place your Macbook on a clean flat and soft surface, such as a rubber mat or a piece of soft cloth and get the required phillips screwdriver.

Remove the battery.

Remove the screws of the RAM / hard drive cover.
Remove the cover and you will have access to the hard drive and Ram. You can remove the RAM by activating the aluminum levers. Upon reinstallation push the RAM modules into the slots firmly and make sure they sit flush to avoid start-up problems.
Step 6
Grab the yellow adhesive tape firmly and pull to remove the hard drive from the hard drive slot. The hard drive is in an enclosure that's not shown in the image. You may have to swap the enclosure over to the replacement hard drive before installation.
