Place your Macbook Air on a clean flat and soft surface, such as a rubber mat or a piece of soft cloth and get the required phillips screwdriver and prying tools. Warning: This repair will cause irreversible cosmetic damage to your screen module (specifically the bezel).
Step 1
Remove the bezel seal. Start prying the seal loose in the center bottom part of the bezel.
Step 2
Remove the seal on the outside corner of screen and work your way from there around the entire bezel until the seal is completely removed.
Step 4
Start lifting the bezel by inserting a safe prying tool under the bezel. The bezel is attached by double sided adhesive tape. The bezel will irreversibly warped out of shape. Please don't proceed if you're not ok with cosmetic damage to the bezel.
Step 6
Slide the safe open tool blade around the bezel and release the glue every where.
Step 7
This is what it looks like when you're almost finished.
Step 8
Remove the screws holding the LCD panel in place.
Step 9
Carefully pull the screen upward, be sure to not damage the LCD cable at the bottom. Release the LCD cable connector and you will be able to fully remove the LCD panel.
Step 11
You successfully removed the LCD panel from the macbook air screen module.
