Read the legal information section and make sure you are qualified to attempt this repair. Place your Magellan 4250 on a clean flat and soft surface, such as a rubber mat or a piece of soft cloth and get the required opening tools
There are screws on the back corners of the Magellan that need to be removed.

There is another one by the usb plug that needs to be removed.
Step 3
The next one is located at the bottom corner.
Step 4
Use the green tool to create space between between the front and the back casing. Do this by working the green tool along the edge releasing any clips that might be holding the two casings together.
Step 5
Continue working your way around the edge using the green tool.
Step 6
Once you have worked the green tool all the way around you can lift up the front LCD casing of the magellan.
Step 10
Remove the torx screws you find under the front casing that is near the SD card tray.
Step 13
Now the plastic frame should come loose from the Magellan 4250 midboard.
