Step 1
This is the pearl from the back.

Step 2
Another shot of the back of the pearl camera slightly tilted towards side.
Step 3
Take off the backplate that covers the battery by pressing the release button on the bottom of the pearl. After you take it off this is what your pearl will look like.
Step 4
Take the battery out of the pearl. This can be done by applying downward pressure from the top of the battery and pulling it away from the phone.
Step 5
Taking out you SIM card involves unlocking the SIM card tray by shifting the metal piece on top of it to the left to unlock it then lift up to release the SIM.
Step 6
Close the SIM card tray by putting metal flap down and towards the bottom of the pearl and then shift it up towards the top. |
Step 7
Use a torx 5 screw to remove the two screws at the top of the pearl.
Step 8
Once you remove both screws teh bottom of the phone has a protective clamp that holds that backplate and frontplate together. Use the green opening tool to create space below the plastic clamp and phone. Once you create some space you can push the clamp down towards the bottom to release it.
Step 9
This is what the phone looks like once the bottom plastic clamp is removed.
Step 10
Below the clamp are 2 more torx 5 screws that need to be removed.
Step 11
Step 13
The next step is the side plastic pieces need to be removed. This is done easily using the green opening tool to create space between the silver plasic edging and the phone. Once there is space the edge pieces can be removed.
Step 12
The silver edge pieces should come off easily once you slide the green tool along the edge creating space between them and the phone. DO THE SAME FOR BOTH SIDES.
Step 15
Once the 2 silver edge pieces are removed the backplate can be seperated from the frontplate. There are some clips on the side that hold it in that can be unclipped using the flathead screwdriver. If you do that the backplate will come off much easier.
