If you can still take pictures ( which you can find out if you remove the storage medium after taking a few pictures and checking if the images are ok using your laptop or desktop) then it has to be the screen that's either disconnected or broken. it is much more likely that is broken though. if you're comfortable opening the camera, the screen replacement is usually the easiest repair on digital cameras and the parts are available on ebay. if the image files are distorted or white when you look at them with your computer, then the issue is caused by a defective CCD sensor and you need a new lens assembly.
