Frozen Nook

My brand new nook became frozen in the middle of downloading our first book while on vacation. We were using the WI-FI to download it and it's stuck at the screen saver. I plugged it back in to see if the battery was the issue, however, it's still frozen in the same position. Is there a way to reset it? If not, what do I do? :cry:

Hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to do a reboot/reset of the unit. Holding power button for a hard reboot or taking the battery out has to reset your device. If you don't get a reaction upond attempting a hard reset, you can measure the battery with a multimeter. If the battery is at 3.7V and the nook doesn't turn on, there is a hardware issue and you will have to send it back to return it under warranty.

My nook locked up .. hard reset not possible ... also not able to load B&N ebooks in Canada even though tech support says it does, even though sales force says it should. So have to return it...
have had battery out for 30min so far and display is still locked on but touch screen is off
