Hi , I think I had water enter my Gen 6 Classic. It wouldnt go past 'charging please wait' but worked if plugged to acpower or on clock radio with dock. I dismantled it and fitted a replacement battery but same thing for stand alone use. I have now replaced logic board and only have it come up with white screen. can hear Hard drive work for a time.Can access files in explorer in Win7. goes to gray screen when connected to PC. could it be that during reassembly i have created a problem with connections of components? eg screen. I have checked that ribbons are in properly to the best I can. have tried resetting also but no difference. could there be something else that may need to be replaced.
