I am having, what seems to be a
rare issue. My SIM card will read; however, the phone does not know that a SIM card is within the phone. I know the problem, I'm just not sure on how to fix the problem. Within the iPhone located on the motherboard is the SIM card housing (not the tray, but the housing attached to the motherboard.) There is a Copper colored switch that becomes pressed when the SIM card tray is inserted within the phone. The switch on my iPhone is completely broken off. I'm not sure if anyone has a simple solution for this (possibly replacing the housing.) Or if the motherboard in it's entirety would need replaced. Thanks for any help.
The first image is my iPhone (sorry for the blurry photo.) The second will be a photo of a motherboard without a broken piece.
