The tough part here is that it's an iPhone 2G, the menu button replacement is difficult. What you really need is a new midboard. Take it to the apple store first, they may give you a replacement. If they refuse, all you can do is replace the actual part. It's a difficult repair on an iphone 2G but there are websites that show you how to do it.
